Check back regularly for more videos.Former IBF junior welterweight (140 pounds) champion, Paulie Malignaggi (27-4, five knockouts), of New York, has a Dec. 18 bout opposite Michael Lozada (39-6-1, 29 KOs). Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Malignaggi-Lozada will be on the under card of the Showtime televised main event featuring WBC light heavyweight (175 pounds) champion Jean Pascal of Canada against 45-year-old ex-titlist, Bernard Hopkins, at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec, Canada.
In this FanHouse video, Malignaggi offers his take on a potential bout between unbeaten six-time titlist Floyd Mayweather (41-0, 25 KOs) and eight-division king Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), holder of the WBO welterweight (147 pounds) and WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) belts.
Malignaggi also spoke about a potential clash with fellow New Yorker and junior welterweight contender Dmitriy Salita (31-1-1, 16 knockouts), who will pursue his second straight victory on Dec. 16 when he takes on Mike Anchondo (30-3, 19 KOs) of La Puenta, Calif., for the IBA championship belt.
Malignaggi said that he would like to earn a welterweight crown prior to perhaps facing friend and foe Salita in a New York-based bout. Malignaggi also brought up some other ventures he has going on outside of the ring.
