Sonnen vs. NSAC: Hendo and Duffee cleared for TRT use; Chael may need a license to be on TUF 13

If Camp Sonnen thought the return to MMA would be drama free, think again.

Chael Sonnen has been a lightning rod of late on the Internet after his suspension was reduced by the California State Athelic Commission. Sonnen, a great trash-talker who had been muzzled for months, quickly hit Twitter to start a fued with Wanderlei Silva. That stirred up rumors that Sonnen may get one of the coaching spots on "The Ultimate Fighter." Now Keith Kizer, the Nevada State Athletic Commission chief, says no so fast my friends.

Just like Kizer, Yahoo! Sports' lead MMA writer Kevin Iole still has questions about Sonnen's CSAC hearing. He also clues us in on Dana White's answer about the possibility of Sonnen being on TUF 13.

Why is Kizer in this mix at all? He does oversee the fights during the taping of "The Ultimate Fighter" which is done each season in Las Vegas. Although it does seem that an actor on a reality show would never clearance from the state agency. Maybe with some clarification we'll find out, Kizer just meant Sonnen needs a license to work in the fighter's corners. If that's the case, maybe the UFC needs to reconsider the idea of having Sonnen serve as one of the TUF coaches.

He also became part of Sonnen's CSAC story when the fighter said that he told Kizer about his testosterone replacement therapy back in 2008 before a WEC fight against Bryan Baker. Kizer has denied that conversation ever took place. Adding more intrigue to this soap opera was the news that both Todd Duffee and Dan Henderson, former UFC fighters, have official clearance from Nevada to use TRT.
