Shannon Briggs ended up in the hospital with a broken left orbital bone in his face, a broken nose and torn left biceps, after going toe-to-toe for 12 treacherous rounds against the WBC heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko in Hamburg, Germany, according to a report from ESPN.com.
Greg Cohen, Empire Sports and Entertainment promoter told ESPN.com that although Briggs was banged up pretty badly, the injuries are not life-threatening. Briggs is at Hamburg's Eppendorf University Hospital.
